We hope you are all well and managing to stay safe in these challenging times.
We are closely monitoring guidance on lockdown restrictions being eased across the UK and we know that many of you have been asking about visiting your loved ones. We appreciate how difficult this prolonged period of separation may be for some of you and we hope to have further news on this in the coming weeks. Whilst the Home continues to remain closed unless your loved one is on an end of life pathway, we wish to take this opportunity to remind you of the other ways for you to stay in touch as follows:-
Skype – The Skype facility will continue, please call the Home to book a time slot.
Telephone – The nursing team are happy to talk to you to keep you updated on your loved one’s wellbeing, and answer any other questions you may have.
Window visits – Where you can talk to your loved one through the window e.g. the reception door or if they have a room on the ground floor which can be accessed safely. Please call our receptionist Monday – Friday within office hours to book a visit. In order to monitor the number of people on the premises in order to maintain social distancing. Visits will be for a maximum of 30 minutes and only 1-2 visitors at a time.
We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the families and local communities that have supported our home over the last few months. We have received cards, gifts and other messages of support which have been invaluable in motivation our team to continue working through these challenging times. Your kindness and generosity has been greatly appreciated.
